Easy to Care For, Air Purifying House Plants Under $30

First, we must discuss what toxins are released in our home to understand the importance of these plants and how they remove toxic chemicals. Cleaning products for example, release chemicals like Formaldehyde, Benzane, and Trichlorothylene. Even the wrong candles can give off Benzene and little did we know, we’re litting up candles like we haven’t discovered light and electricity haha. (link to candle article)
The worst part is that the air inside our homes is actually more polluted than the air outside! As a homebody, this freaks me out!
Did you know that there are plenty of plants that are actually easy to keep alive and of course, purify the air. To simplify this: “air purifying” plants remove the carbon dioxide from the air we breathe converting it to oxygen.

With pollution on the raise, wouldn’t it be nice to at least be able to breath in clean air from inside your home!? Well let me show you how easy it is to do so! Rule of thumb: the larger the leafs, the better the purifying process. I say better because larger leaves cover more square footage of which it will purify. Just to give you an idea; a medium sized house plant will cover about 100 square feet.
Now, let me show you the houseplants that I believe to be the easiest to maintain!

Snake Plant

This beauty is my favorite! and it has been the easiest for me. Let me tell you! I love plants, but I am no expert. I still; consider myself a newbie since I have had my fair share of dying plants πŸ™ So I list these easy ones that even I am capable of keeping alive. Especially the snake plant. This plant is the only one that I’ve managed to keep alive haha. The snake plant is also so unique and beautiful. You can keep it small or grow it big in a short amount of time. My snake plant is now in its third larger pot and I’m so excited for it to get bigger and bigger.

Aloe Vera Plant

This plant is almost always a go-to purchase when you’re finally thinking of getting a real plant to spruce up your bedroom or living room. I mean it’s only sold in almost every grocery store or convenience store haha. It’s also one of the easiest plants to manage! It only needs to be watered like every 10 days AND it doesn’t even need to be exposed to THAT much sunlight. I mean even your room with one single window (and the sun isn’t even hitting it directly) can have just enough sun exposure to keep this plant alive. Not much a thought to it huh? Seems like you’ll be faster to being called the green thumb than you think lol. Plus the best part about this plant that it is so commonly known for, is it’s healing power. When you have a cut or wound, you can apply the aloe gel within the plant on it to aid in the healing process. It even provides a cooling and soothing relief to the pain. I’m starting to think that we should call this plant the triple threat since lastly, this amazing plant purifies the air! πŸ˜€
